ISO_400.jpg

Below is a sampling of photos I took on my new (to me) Pentax K1000. Even though I was using Fujifilm Superia 400, I’m still learning about how exposure works so some of these did not match the recommended ISO. Instead, I just used the light meter inside the viewfinder; an ultra-helpful feature for a minimal camera and even more so given the age.

I’m especially excited to document these for a couple of reasons, most importantly of which is the fact that I am brand new at this. Although its a challenge for me, I am doing my best to enjoy this part of the process where I am a true beginner.

In the future I’d imagine I’ll look back and enjoy seeing where the journey started, and I hope you can enjoy it with me.

Special thanks to LATTITUDE Chicago for developing my photos and taking the time to educate me on how it works. All photos are unedited otherwise.

ROLL ONE

Some of these photos have streaks because I accidentally rolled half of the film backwards before I realized what I was doing wrong. I still like how they turned out.
